I'm Tim, a photographer based in Seattle. Like most photographers, I taught myself through YouTube videos, books, and a lot of trial and error.
Along the way, I kept running into the same questions: How do I streamline my workflow? What actually makes a photograph compelling? How do I build a sustainable photography business? I couldn't find answers that felt practical and honest.
That's why I started Pixel and Proof.
This weekly newsletter isn't about the latest camera specs or gear reviews. There are plenty of people better qualified to tell you why one camera is superior to another. Instead, I focus on the craft of photography: the business side, the creative process, and how to develop your eye. This is mostly a documentary project about my own journey with each of these topics and how I approach them or what I've learned along the way.
If you're looking for technical camera reviews, this probably isn't for you. But if you want honest conversations about growing as a photographer and building work that matters, welcome.
